Meet Andrew
Andrew Mitchell is a Christian, husband, father, U.S. Army combat veteran, and a District 1 County Commissioner in Williamson County, TN.
Andrew Mitchell's top priorities for County Commission are keeping families safe from crime - smart responsible growth that protects the character and beauty of our community - protecting taxpayers with a balanced budget that controls spending - improving our roads and infrastructure - fighting government overreach by eliminating and simplifying county codes and regulations - and ensuring our county is able to hire and retain the best workforce in the state.
Andrew enlisted in the United States Army in 2007 after seeing the surge of troops needed for the war on terror, and served in active duty from 2007 to 2013. Andrew deployed to Iraq in 2007-2008 and to Afghanistan in 2010-2011 with the renowned 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, serving with Forward Support Company, 2-327 Infantry Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team. Andrew medically retired from the Army as a Sergeant (E-5) with an Honorable Discharge due to combat-related injuries.
Following his military service, Andrew earned his degree from Southern Wesleyan University. He works today as the Head of Revenue Operations for a multi-national label manufacturer headquartered in Franklin. He also owns and operates RevOps Recon, LLC, a small-business sales and marketing technology consultancy.
His extensive professional background includes leading interdisciplinary teams at a multitude of corporations and startups over the last 17 years. Prior to his corporate career, Andrew served as Program Manager at Upstate Warrior Solution, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans secure their benefits and find gainful employment.
Andrew was appointed to the Fairview Board of Zoning Appeals in July 2025, where he quickly became the Chairman of the board. He fought for residents in Fairview, and continues to fight for them at the county level against reckless growth and overdevelopment.
Andrew and his wife Melissa have been married for 19 years. They live in Fairview and have two children who both attend Williamson County Schools. The Mitchells are members at First Baptist Church of Fairview.
Andrew is a member of Franklin Noon Rotary and the American Legion Fairview Post 248. Andrew volunteers as scorekeeper at Fairview High School basketball games and has volunteered with Gun Rights Across America, a Second Amendment advocacy organization.
